Napcomics are comics drawn on napkins

Hello to everyone on the Interweb.

I know we haven't posted in awhile. I have been trapped in rehearsals for my drama programs fourth year show and Andre in an incredible turn of events has gotten himself not one, but TWO jobs. These are not excuses as much as they are explanations. LIFE has been considerably busy for both of us and so posting comics has suffered a bit in the process.

This is not goodbye so much as it is see you later, I know that Andre has a couple more of our last comics somewhwere and will be posting them hopefully soon. So check up on us when you can and by the New Year we shall return refreshed and with more comics than ever before.

Look out 2008, make way for the year of napcomics!

Napcomics 2.0: 2 a day, ballpoint pen. We are ushering in a new world age of napkin comics. This is one for the history books. Next time we will both use the same colour of pen. That will be 2.1. -André

Do you notice that everytime Halloween comes around almost every newspaper has an article about how candy is bad for your teeth? Okay society, I get it, sweets aren't the greatest but if I had to choose between that and a dentist I'd chose candy everytime baby, wouldn't you?

Hey everyone, ever sorry for not posting the last little while, school has begun to catch up with me. Babyn has yet to scan in all of our new comics. I haven't been able to get in touch with him but hopefully he'll be able to do it soon and then we can start posting daily again. I suspect he may be having troubles with his computo.

Here's a older strip from one of the two Tim Horton's runs we did some time ago. For some reason it was forgotten and never posted. Weird.

Drawing on napkins is not the easiest thing to do, don't be so hard on your self Babyn. The Tatto strip is by far one of my favorites of this here run. More comics await true believers!

Hey everybody, there hasn't been a post in awhile because me and Andre have had to make more comics. We HAVE made a whole new batch, Andre just needs to upload them to photobucket and then will start posting again.

Also Babyn is trying to finish up his 200 bad comics and he has updated "Frank and Earl the Astronauts"

My apologies for not updating yesterday, I was performing in the second annual Nuit Blanche. If I can explain it in the simplest terms it's a celebration of all sorts of media and art going on in Toronto and it lasts all night long. Suffice to say I have been sleeping all Sunday.

Oh, and Babyn should be back soon.

New comics up, this is one of my favorites from the run.

I just got a copy of God of War, I am utterly obsessed. I think only in combos now. What an utterly great time waster.

Class is coming up at three so I thought I'd post the new strip now. I am glad that even "anonymous norwegians" can laugh at our jokes, it makes realize more and more the universality of the comic strip.

I can't speak for Andre but I love not having to worry about some giant, complex plot with returning characters. I think what gives napcomics it's charm is that anything goes, ANYTHING. And that, to me is exciting. You don't even have to read them in any particular order, unless you want to.
If I want to bring SPACE WEASEL back in a new strip I can do it without worrying about whether It effects strip continuity. I believe that before you can start telling big stories you have to be able to tell little ones first. Any good comic you've ever read does that and those same good comics can do it without even using words.

Napcomics is our testing ground, it is our laboratory, it is our BATCAVE. This is just exercise, it's practice but it's GOOD practice. After having drawn my own comics for years I stopped. This was the biggest mistake I could have made and now I am correcting that mistake. Napcomics is keeping me on my toes, Babyn is keeping me on my toes (simply because he is more prolific) and this makes me want to do more.

Gwynne is watching me load this new comic as I type. It's kinda weird. Sorry, I didn't post this morning I was sleeping off my "busy Tuesday." Hey, did you get the SPOON album like I told you? Isn't it SO good?

Our first ever guest strip is up and it's awesome. Oh, and if you haven't picked up the new SPOON album you really should. It's that good. Like "Old Elvis Costello" good.
